November is the month to remind us to be thankful for all the positive things in our life. I am grateful for so many things but this little girl is currently at the top of my list. She just turned 5 months old and i’m full of emotions; happy, sad, excited and nervous! I’m so thankful that she is healthy, strong and growing into a beautiful baby girl but so sad that time has to fly by so quickly. It’s such a bittersweet feeling but above all i am overwhelmed with gratitude just to be this girls mom.
Being a mom for such a short time has already taught me so much. Patience is a virtue and this girl is teaching me everything i need to know about patience! 🙂 Her giggles warm my heart and her smile lights up my world! I am still currently pinching myself that i get to keep her FOREVER! I just hope she continues to love me as much as she does now!

Peyton Colleen Thompson weighed in at 6 pounds 8 ounces with 10 little tiny fingers and 10 little tiny toes.
Oh how i wish i could bottle up her yummy smells, her wrinkly little hands and overall perfection. My life was forever changed, the moment they placed you in my arms baby girl!
Being a first time mom, i had no idea what to expect going into labor. I was excited and terrified all at the same time. My emotions were all over the place and my heart was beating out of my chest but above all i just couldn’t wait to meet you. Luckily, my labor went incredibly fast and i was holding my sweet angel in my arms before i knew it.
With big blue eyes and the sweetest pouty lips i have ever seen, i am head over heels IN LOVE with you baby girl!

Hey ladies! Hope you had a wonderful week & are looking forward to a wonderful weekend. I will be 36 weeks pregnant tomorrow so i have been taking it easy and doing alot of relaxing, haha! Growing a baby is exhausting, am i right?! I wanted to share with you a recipe i recently tried and fell in love with. I don’t know about you but i have a SERIOUS sweet tooth, so if there is any way to make my treats a little bit healthier i do it! This particular smoothie is called the Snickerdoodle Protein Smoothie. It’s super easy, healthy and tastes delicious!
We just recently invested in a high-tech blender and we absolutely love it but any old blender will do! You can use any vanilla protein powder you like – it will work the same way. In this particular smoothie, i used almond milk but any milk will do. The same goes for the peanut butter. I love regular peanut butter (probably too much) but use PB2 in most of my smoothies. If you want a nutritional boost, you can also add some greek yogurt if you like.

Snickerdoodle Protein Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 cup vanilla almond milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 2 tsp. peanut butter (or you can use PB2)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 8-10 cubes of ice
Directions:
STEP 1: Place all ingredients into blender (liquid ingredients first).
STEP 2: Blend on high for 2 minutes or until smooth. (We used a vitamix for this particular smoothie)
STEP 3: Serve and enjoy!
Perfect for a healthy afternoon snack that keeps you energized and FULL!
